AMS Consulting and Design, Inc. Is a woman-owned and operated business. With a Principal Office in Oakland Maryland, with Regional Offices in San Diego and North Carolina, We have over 18 years of experience, we are a full-service general contractor. Since our incorporation, we’ve lived by our Mission Statement to provide customers with the best-built environment. We understand that value for the customer is ever-changing, and as a result, we commit to constant improvement. We vet and team up with architectural and engineering firms exchanging knowledge and information, especially at the early stages of a project, which ultimately leads to better buildings. We make sure every project gets special attention. Customer service, planning, execution, and communication are all extremely important parts of all our construction projects. AMS makes sure that our customers are informed and kept in constant communication during every step of their project. We use the most up-to-date technology and products in the industry to make sure that we provide the best service and variety to our customers.

Ileana Evans
President
Ileana, started her construction business in 2004 in California, She saw a desire and need within the construction industry for a freshness in attitude, skill and communication. She is dedicated to providing our clients with the very best in Government procurement, Commercial Tenant Improvements, and Home renovations. Ileana, takes an enormous amount of pride in the attention of detail put into each of the projects we are involved in. Ileana, comes from a long family line of contractors. She looks forward to building long-term relationships with our clients and guarantee their satisfaction.
Ileana open her second and Principal Office in Maryland and Regional offices in California and North Carolina.
Ileana holds A General Contractors license in Maryland, North Carolina and Painting and Decorating, Tile and Stone and Fencing contractor licenses in California
Michael T. Evans (Mitch)
Senior Archeologist
Mr. Evans is Registered Professional Archaeologist 5168 and has extensive field experience and geospatialanalysis experience. Mitch is a Secretary of Interior qualified archaeologist, holding BA and MA degrees inAnthropology and Archaeology. He has approximately 14 years of experience ranging from Baja California to theinterior and central coastal regions of the state, with prior academic research in Gordion, Tukey, Lyminge,United Kingdom, and San Nicolas Island, California Channel Islands. He has consulted with federal, state, tribal,and local municipalities. His professional experience have included survey, inventory and condition assessmentsof cultural resources for multiple federal agencies; visual impact modeling for NRHP listed historic properties;construction monitoring team management; extensive experience performing data recovery efforts; GISmodeling and analysis; laboratory processes, lithic analysis, and shellfish identification. Mr. Evans has variedexperience with NHPA, NAGPRA, ARPA, Section 106, and Section 110 compliance. He has extensiveexperience in mapping, database management, and GPS/spatial data collection techniques for complexrecording of cultural resources. He holds certifications and trainings, including, Metrolink Safety Training;Rattlesnake handling training; HAZWOPER 40-hour certification; and Unexploded Ordinance (UXO) training. Inaddition, Mitch has provided project specific compliance training to construction crews.


Cameryn Machado
Director of Operations
Camryn Machado is a skilled and experienced leader serving as the Director of Operations for AMS Construction and Design, Inc. A graduate of San Diego State University, she excelled both academically and athletically, playing volleyball throughout her four-year tenure. Camryn brings her competitive spirit and strong work ethic to her role, effectively overseeing and optimizing day-to-day operations within the business. Her leadership skills and attention to detail contribute to the successful execution of projects, ensuring timely completion and exceeding client expectations. With a strategic mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement, Camryn is dedicated to driving the company's growth and achieving operational excellence.
Phillip Evans
Business Development Director
Phillip Evans is a dedicated and results-driven professional, currently serving as the Business Development Manager for AMS Construction and Design, Inc. With a keen eye for identifying new opportunities and fostering strategic partnerships, Phillip plays a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the company. His exceptional communication and negotiation skills enable him to establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders. Phillip's in-depth industry knowledge and analytical mindset allow him to anticipate market trends and develop innovative strategies to stay ahead of the competition. Courtney Appell
Contract Compliance & Business Development Manager
Courtney Appell is the Contract Compliance & Business Development Manager at AMS. Appell brings forth her superior knowledge of contract law and regulations along with excellent communication skills, allowing for the cultivation of positive and mutually beneficial business relationships. Ms. Appell has a proven track record of helping to lead companies by ensuring they are functioning in complete compliance with all contractual and government rules and regulations.
Appell established herself as a trusted construction lending resource early in her career while employed at California Bank & Trust where she first discovered her strengths in contracts, compliance and budgets. Ms. Appell followed this success by embarking on a 15-year career in HR Compliance at a variety of public and non-profit organizations including Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the State of California and the Department of Social Security. In Appell’s past 4 years in the Federal contracting arena, she has continued to drive excellence in documentation, reporting and risk management.
Now at AMS, Ms. Appell oversees Contract Compliance and Business Development and she is dedicated to supporting the Federal Government's missions while driving the company's growth.
Alan Turner
Senior Project Manager
Alan Turner is AMS’s Senior Project Manager and brings with him over 30 years of proven success leading cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives on time, within budget and with quality guarantees. Collectively, Mr. Turner has managed over $40 Million in construction projects and his project management experience throughout the years has built strong and lasting relationships with government entities and contractors in the Federal space. Mr. Turner’s expertise in proactively identifying issues and preparing a plan to work around challenges in order to make a project successful has become his calling card. Having managed both construction and maintenance repair projects, Mr. Turner has become a respected leader of sizable teams because of his effective workflow scheduling, budgeting, quality assurance and code/safety compliance skills. Mr. Turner’s background as a former 8a construction firm owner and expertise in estimating, sourcing, negotiating and bidding federal government construction projects is what makes Mr. Turner a standout in the industry.
